ATLANTA CONFERENCE
Hey there! I am a 24 year old wife and mother of a 4 year old girl. I was
interested in being a part of the movement. I have come a long way in the past decade.
I also have dealt with bipolar disorder most of my life which has made many normal
milestones difficult to believe that I can achieve them. I dropped out of high
school my senior year and battled drug addiction-- heroine, cocaine, and
ecstasy. I have overcome my addictions and am now living a much more stable
lifestyle.
CHICAGO CONFERENCE
Ma'am, your car has been on our security tape all night...is there a problem"?
This is one of many experiences I had to go through with my children when we
were homeless for 9 months. We had been sleeping in a park parking lot that night
because we had no money for a room nor did we have a place to lay our heads at
that night .People always voice their opinion about homeless people, but don't
until you have experienced. True enough it is not fun at all. I cried many
night, walked my kids to the bus stop during the winter, and feed them the best
noodles in the world, Top Ramen.. lol!! You know what now, I took the life
accidentally of my niece and nephew because I played with fire and the house
burnt down taking their life All this before I was 15. I picked myself
back up and now I am in my last semester of getting a bachelor's degree in
science with a minor in entertainment/music industry. I made the dean's list
twice and my overall GPA now is 3.5.I plan on applying to physical therapy
school and one day having my own PT clinic called, "Twin Therapies" because
I also have a twin sister that went to respiratory therapy school.
MISSISSIPPI CONFERENCE
When I met my husband, he was stationed Overseas with the US Army.
He was very outgoing and many times he had a lot of alcoholic drinks, which
I did not mind to this point. hanks for asking. I am 53 and almost 3 years out from
having gastric bypass surgery. August 2009,I weighed almost 300 pounds and now
weigh about 175. I am sharing my story about my weight loss and doing motivational
speaking about the obesity rate we have here in Mississippi. I was a deaths door until
I made that change in my life.

Divorced from a marriage of 9 years from a Chicago
Police Officer In October of 1998, her daughter was diagnosed with Leukemia
Remarried only to be divorced 11 months after, found out husband cheated on her
with his boss Daughter is currently 21, but has a mentality of a 9 year
old. Has been divorced for 12 years now Is a Property Manager and hates
her job. Hasn't been able to pursue a career due to caring for her sick
daughter since her diagnosis in 1998
MISSISSIPPI CONFERENCE
Single mother of two sons 15 and 12. Struggles daily to care for them
History of Panic Attacks since age 16. Would use drugs and alcohol to cope
A product of growing up in a physical and verbal abusive home from mother At age
17 she eloped with the father of her children who is 10 years older. He
was very abusive and was an alcoholic She wants to be an Interior Decorator and
is only 27 credits away, but cannot afford to attend school to complete it.

Recently divorced with 4 girls. Was crowned a state titleholder in pageants, divorced 3
months after being crowned due to abusive husband Ex husband is a verbally and
emotionally abusive News Reporter who is extremely controlling and belittling
Has fronted for years about having a good marriage only to hide it with covering
up with glitz and glamor. A former television and new anchor and reporter, whom
now owns her own company.
COOL SPRINGS CONFERENCE
Grew up in a very abusive home where mother did not want to love
her. Has a some what good relationship with her father, but father doesn't know
if he is really her father Has a degree in Education, but currently not teaching
Was in a domestic fight with ex-husband which landed her in jail ultimately
causing them to divorce.

At the age of 25 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I am now 29 and has
Stage IV Metastatic Breast Cancer Has a very supportive husband serving in
the US Army fighting for our country, but is currently home on leave to care for
her Sometimes has low self-esteem because of having no hair and her body
image from the chemo and steroids Her dream is to compete in the
Mrs. Georgia United States Pageant and win it. Wants to be the
first woman with cancer to win a major pageant
CALIFORNIA CONFERENCE
Mother of a 1 year old. Moved from Atlanta to California when she was
20 with a man who was 15 yrs older and abandoned her entire family putting
school and everything on hold He has controlled her over the years and has
physically, mentally, and emotionally abused her He grabbed her by the neck
while driving on hwy 405 calling her a dumb bitch, but the way he made her feel
when he apologized kept her trapped She still loves him although they are no longer
together. Father of the 1 year old is her new boyfriend whom she is not in love with.
He treats her well, however she feels as if her life is on pause and she is staying in the
relationship because of the baby, not because of her loving him.

Always dreamed of making a name for herself in the
entertainment/fashion world, but put dreams on hold to care for her sick
grandmother who has cancer. Spends her summers from college at home to care for
family and sick grandmother. Has a sister who lost her baby. She placed
her life on hold again to care for sister who went through a mental breakdown Is
dating a male of 6.5 years who won't commit to marrying her.

Married young into a family that was all about being controlling
and abusive towards her. His mom followed her everywhere Was not allowed
to do anything, and she finally made up her mind and left remarried a man that
had nothing and placed her college career on hold for him and helped him start
an insurance company The marriage ended and he received everything she
built. He was emotionally and mentally abusive
NASHVILLE CONFERENCE
Single mother in Nashville with some success. In a difficult spot in her
marriage of 4+years Job is real estate, but primary calling is music. Real
estate business has been horrible causing problems within marriage. On the
verge of filing for divorce. Have 3 daughters from a previous marriage, which
lasted 14yrs. Daughters are 20, 19, and 15

A pop artist with the sounds of Toni Braxton with a reflection of Michael
Jackson Was on the 11 Season of American Idol and it to top 300 Hollywood, but
was sent home with a broken heart Has been singing since the age of 2yrs
old. Grew up watching and singing to Disney movies A struggling artist
tried to make it to the next level. Has no job, due to trying to travel and make
it in her singing career.
CALIFORNIA CONFERENCE
I'm a 29 year old Puerto Rican and was born and raised
in church. I have always struggled with my weight and at the age of 18
years old had to have a gastric bypass and tummy tuck done. My parents have been
together since 7th grade and married 33 years until I lost my father this past
January. I married who I thought was the man of my dreams we only lasted a
year and a half and got divorced since I was continuously miscarrying. He left
me for woman that had children. He was extremely manipulating and abusive. Ever
since I lost my father this past January it has been extremely hard for me and
haven’t been coping well but GOD has opened doors for me. I have been doing
photo shoots for plus size clothing and working on writing songs to hopefully
make my dream into reality. Now that I have gone through losses in the past I am
working as an Intake Coordinator for Postpartum Depression sharing my story and
letting my clients know not to give up. I believe that everything that I have
gone through has made me a stronger woman, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and
wife. I also believe that GOD closes doors to open another. I believe that if
you choose me to share my life experiences that I will change someone’s life.
